1969 GM Chateau Mauve paint
This purple automotive paint color is most commonly known as Chateau Mauve Firemist. Another common paint color promotional name is Chateau Mauve. The color formulation has been used between 1969 and 1970, primarily by GM; but also by Cadillac. We have records of this color appearing only on the Cadillac. See the full detailed list below. Firemist was a name given to a group of metallic paints which primarily appeared on the Cadillac but also the Buick and Oldsmobile starting in 1964.
