PPG code IM230 - green
This green automotive paint color is most commonly known as Ardsley Green. Other common color promotional names include Haig Green, Rhapsody Green, Standish Green, and Sorrento Green. The color formulation has been used between 1928 and 1931, primarily by Dodge; but also by Chrysler, Buick, Oldsmobile, Plymouth, and DeSoto. IM230 is a paint code for PPG (Pittsburgh Plate Glass) who has been providing automotive paints since 1924 (originally Ditzler Color Company subsidiary acquired in 1928). PPG/Ditzler codes starting with the letters "IM" indicate Ditz-Lac colored lacquers and polychromatics (fine aluminum powder added) and were used before 1940. Other Ditzler paint codes which are equivalent to IM230 are 10023 or IM2300 or QDE1799. Ditzler code 10023 is a more modern code which is more likely to have paint mixed up from.
