The 1971 Super Beetle: (1) In addition to major improvements built into the Beetle, the Super Beetle features fan-powered flow-through ventilation. (2) Nearly double the trunk space of the Beetle. Spare tire positioned horizontally under trunk floor. (3) New coil spring front suspension and tighter turning circle. (4) Carpeted floor. (5) Rubber bumper inserts.
