Three impala models are shown on this page of the 1962 Chevrolet sales brochure: an Impala 4-door 6-passenger station wagon in Autumn Gold, an Impala Convertible in Roman Red, and an Impala Sport Sedan in Twilight Blue. The text at the bottom of the page reads, You get comfort and then some in every '62 Impala. Deep foam-cushioned seating, front and rear, tells you one reason for Impala's relaxing ways. Jet-smooth ride is another. (Of course, you enjoy this in every big new Chevrolet.) Other stricktly Impala benefits are its extra-long arm rests with their fingertip door releases, the individual safety reflectors on the front doors, its own special trim accents. And every '62 Impala gives you an electric clock, back-up lights and a parking brake warning light at no extra cost. Loading the trunk of any new '62 Chevrolet comes close to being a pleasure. That's because of its low-sill design. Means there's less lifting to do which, in turn, makes stowing easier. What will also make people happy is the mammoth amount of luggage this trunk will take. The extra-deep well in its floor is part of it. But also, space actually becomes more usable with the spare tire tucked well out of the way. What's more, the wide lid even lets you load it from the side! Plan on plenty of room in Impala and every other big Chevrolet for '62. Door openings are high and wide enough to let you enter and leave the comfortable way. Door sills are low for easy stepping. Seats are designed in a pleasant riding style to assure the king of erect posture that means so much to your comfort. Such important dimensions as head room, leg room and foot room are equally geared to give you relaxing pleasure. (Chevrolet, in fact, went to the extent of using lifelike models and new concepts in measuring to make certain all of its '62 cars have room that fits people.)
